New agreement with the University of Malaga. Unicaja Basketball and the Chair of Health and Pain of the UMA have signed a collaboration agreement to promote healthy habits and the transfer of updated knowledge in the approach and management of musculoskeletal pain (MSK). The agreement has been formalized this Thursday in Los Guindos between the president of Unicaja Basketball, Antonio Jesús López Nieto, and the director of the chair, Alejandro Luque.

The agreement seeks to develop joint activities focused on the promotion of health, physical and mental well-being, as well as training in strategies for addressing and coping with MSK pain. Through workshops, conferences and outreach programs, the aim is to raise awareness of the importance of an active and healthy lifestyle.

Sport is a fundamental pillar for health, and from Unicaja Basketball we want to contribute to the dissemination of healthy habits among our fans and society in general. Among the initiatives to be carried out are pain education programs for athletes and coaches, and awareness campaigns aimed at different groups.

This agreement represents another step forward in the collaboration between sports and academia, demonstrating that the union between sports and science can have a positive impact on people's quality of life.

The University Chair in Health and Pain is an initiative resulting from the agreement between the University of Malaga and Unicaja Foundation to promote teaching, research and, above all, the transfer of up-to-date knowledge on pain and health to the city and province of Malaga. With the signing of a collaboration agreement, Unicaja Basketball becomes the first sports entity to support the Chair of Health and Pain at the University of Malaga.
