Practical session on menstrual pain management with Unicaja Femenino first team players.
During the afternoon of Thursday, January 9, the players of the women's first team of the Unicaja Women's Basketball Club received, at the facilities of the Palacio de los Deportes José María Martín Carpena, a practical session on pain management associated with menstruation. In it, a team of professionals specialized in gender and pain of the Chair of Health and Pain of the University of Malaga provided the players with useful and evidence-based tools for the management and management of menstrual pain and its implication in elite sports performance. In addition, the players had a practical demonstration of these tools for their use in the team's daily routine and were able to resolve all their doubts.
This action is included in the collaboration agreement of the Chair of Health and Pain with the Unicaja Foundation for the transfer of knowledge on pain to the population, in this case under the framework of the initiative "Pain and Sport of the Chair.
