Observatory on Health and Pain Literacy
The degree to which citizens seek health information, select the most relevant information for them, integrate it and the degree of behavior they generate on it, determines their level of literacy. Today we know that a well-informed population that manages this information well is a healthier population, in terms of fewer visits to hospital emergency rooms, better adherence to treatment and lower mortality rates. The Chair conducts observations on the level of pain literacy of citizens, as well as analyses on the quality of information sources consulted by citizens.
